Kenny Laursen

In the heyday of Las Vegas lounge entertainment, Kenny Laursen was billed as “The World’s Most Contagious Entertainer” of the era. 17 year old Kenny first arrived on the Las Vegas scene in August of 1960. He was first spotted entertaining the crowds at the Showboat Hotel and Casino with rockabilly performer Bob Luman, who sang the Boudleaux Bryant song "Let's Think About Living," making it a Top Ten hit.

Kenny went on to share Las Vegas stages with well-known stars of the time; such as Wayne Newton, Don Rickles, and Louis Prima. Afterwards, he hit the road and took his act to nightclubs around Southern California before finally venturing off to the rest of the United States and Canada.

Alongside with the countless nightclub performances, his credits also include motion pictures, hitting the airwaves as radio announcer, headlining on cruise ships, and even becoming a TV game show host for the short-lived Casino Challenge. He was later replaced by John Wayne’s son; Patrick Wayne.

At the beginning of the New Year in 1992, Kenny decided to set aside some time for his family, so he took a 30-year hiatus nurturing his next generation. During that time he also decided to get into the video production business, creating Aladdin Productions of Las Vegas. 

An unexpected encounter with a friend from the past brought Kenny full-circle, steering him back into what he loves! Kenny Laursen is still The World’s Most Contagious Entertainer. Come on in and enjoy his infectious style of music and entertainment LIVE… He won’t disappoint!!
